SouthendSeattle has this review of Karama, an East African restaurant. That sounds like a hit.

Everything we received was delicious and very fresh-tasting. My sanbusa was deep-fried, crispy and hot, filled with a mixture of ground beef, onion and green pepper. It was subtly flavored and was certainly satisfying. The falafel contained chicken rather than the chickpea cakes you normally equate with falafel, and could be compared to a fajita-style sandwich, but the fresh lettuce inside and a kind of spicy mayonnaise sauce, complete with the jabati bread holding it together, was incredibly good. It was rather large too, so it can be shared, or the lighter eaters among us can take one half home if they wish.

We went to Cajun Crawfish on the corner of MLK and S, on Sunday night. Myrtle. It was great!

Service was friendly. They asked if we had ever been there before. Since we were newbies, she took extra time in explaining the options we had. Once we mentioned Plate of Nations (PoN), she then gave us the additional menu with those specials. You see, the place was full of regular customers! I'm pretty sure that we were the only ones there because of PoN.

Food was delicious! We had our fill, enjoying every last bite and slurp.

We'll be back for sure. On a Tuesday night, you can spin their wheel of discounts!

I found out about PoN April 10th. Too bad it wasn't well publicized. I hope it does happen again next year!

We went to Huarachitos last Thursday night. They had a nice full house. We had (as usual) good food and friendly service. I tried one of their non-alcoholic Mexican sodas (the sangria): pretty interesting and not in a bad way. :-)

The landscaping they recently put into that retaining wall is going to look really good in a few weeks.
