I am all for supporting local businesses, so when I saw Vibe Salon advertised in the Wiki, I thought, "hey, I will give 'em a try!"
My boyfriend and I just bought a townhouse (thank you Dwell Development) and are very pleased with the sense of community here in Columbia City. In fact, in is what attracted us in the first place. The food rocks too! (Thank you Geraldine's… and yes, the Verve is good too, and La Medusa, and Jones' BBQ and Lottie's, Tuda Bella, Angie's and all the other places we haven't tried yet)
So I dropped into Vibe today and… viola! I have found my "girls!"
We all know it is hard to find that just-right salon we can call home. So initially, all I hope for is a decent cut. Then, a pleasant experience, and of course, affordability.
Bingo!
Stephanie was professional, skilled and quite likable. Initially, she gave me just what i asked for: a cleaned up version of my current style. But then at the end, she sensed that it wasn't exactly what i wanted. So, she continued to ask me questions and then Traci brought a magazine over for visual help.
Boom! A page turned which showed what I was having trouble articulating, and we discussed the details and Stephanie was more than happy to keep cutting a few extra minutes to get it just right!
I told myself walking in that if they did a good job on the cut, I would sign up for color next….. (I will be back tomorrow!)
So… a rockin' new haircut (yes, my boyfriend loved it!), friendly professional service, good vibes between Traci and Stephanie, affordable prices:
