Learn how the project pushed us to move out of our comfort level, identify gaps in our collection, and reach out to the community to fill those gaps. Also, view displays honoring some special anniversaries and preview our 2012 project, Remembering Garlic Gulch.

Columbia City Community Chorus spring concertThe Columbia City Community Chorus and the Columbia City Children's Chorus, directed by Kathleen Tracy, present their spring concert on Friday, March 30 at 7:30pm. The show is a benefit for Mary's Place Day Center for homeless women and children. The multi-generational Chorus will sing a spirited and moving set of songs both original and contemporary, with a few surprises thrown in. Bring yourself, your family and friends, and hey — got any hand percussion instruments gathering dust at home? Bring those too, we're collecting small hand percussion for the Mary's Place Choir. It'll be a good time, for a good cause!

Eat Run Hope - Food and 5K for Fetal HopeOn Sunday April 1, 2012, the Fetal Hope Foundation will produce a special event called Eat Run Hope — Seattle's food and 5K for fetal syndromes, at Seward Park. Eat Run Hope is a 5K Run/Walk and Food Event benefiting the Fetal Hope Foundation. The Fetal Hope Foundation's mission is to provide funding for research, to increase awareness, and to be an outlet for leading medical information pertaining to fetal syndromes. Based out of Colorado, FHF connects with local medical centers to fund care in event communities. Their goal is to arm families and healthcare providers with resources to save babies' lives.
