your Wikli-fix: all together now

Many of the neighborhood's proudest achievements have come from getting together and making it happen. Whether it's reviving the Cinema or raising a glass, you can do it in good company.

This one's a bi-Wikli. Let's pull the next issue together on Leap-Day, February 29.

Live locally.

You can post a calendar event — here's how.

announcing Seattle Farm Co-op

Have you heard? A new kind of co-op is up and running in Seattle that caters to urban farmers. Begun just three years ago by a small handful of Seattlites interested in the intersection of city life and hyper-local food, the mailing list grew quickly, and now has nearly a thousand members.

As of October 2011, Seattle Farm Co-op is now a full fledged member owned and run co-op located in the International District! We are 100% volunteer run.

Bring back our cinema

If you have been hoping Columbia City would once again have a 3-screen cinema showing the latest movies, now is the time to help! SEEDArts and the Columbia City Cinema Advisory Board are continuing our fundraising campaign to bring back the Columbia City Cinema.

Imagine three of your favorite movies playing in one night, family films during the day plus midnight movies. The Cinema will be a program of SEEDArts and will continue to show first and second run movies every night in addition to independent and art house films, film festivals and educational film forums.
