Columbia City Cinema

Seattle's Coolest Neighborhood Theater

Starting Friday, 4/24, is The Soloist, about a homeless street musician played by Jamie Foxx and a reporter, Robert Downey, who befriends him. We're one of the few independent cinemas in the area to get a print of this excellent and absorbing film.

Also on Friday, is the sweet little comedy, Sunshine Cleaning, about a down on her luck young woman, who starts a crime scene cleanup business. Hilarious and thoughtful, with the most darling little Amy Adams you've ever seen.

Duplicity and the surprisingly good Adventureland will stay through Thursday, 4/30.

On Facebook? Join the Columbia City Cinema group. Just another great way to stay on top of all that’s happening at Seattle’s Coolest Neighborhood Cinema.

See you at the movies.

Columbia City in the news

On the weekend he and his daughter go south to the old neighborhood to shop at "the butcher, the bakery," specifically Bob's Meats and Columbia City Bakery. When he and his late wife, Signe, arrived in Seattle back in the mid-1940s they lived off of Rainier Avenue South.

Columbia City in the blogossiphere

Amber at the Rainier Valley Post says she doesn't want direct links from the Wikli's blogossiphere over her concern that gossip just isn't her brand. We still encourage you to check out her blog.
