Comixtravaganza: Comic Workshop with Shary Flenniken Thursday January 22nd from 6 - 7:30 pm. Try your hand at comic-making with a pro! Come make your own comic and enjoy our free food. All supplies will be provided. (Ages 10-18)

Homework Help Volunteers will assist students with homework on a drop in basis on Mon-Thu, 5-7:45pm.

Bird Banding Demonstration on Saturday

Seattle Audubon's BirdWatch Service Corps will host their next bird banding demonstration this Saturday. December's demo was snowed out, but the forecast looks good for this one!

Don't miss this chance to see science in action as BirdWatch student naturalists assist Puget Sound Bird Observatory volunteers in capturing and banding live birds. The demonstration is free and open to the public. It will run from 9am-12pm at the Audubon Center in Seward Park, 5902 Lake Washington Blvd S.

Friends of Seward Park will hold public meetings 6:30 - 8pm at the Seward Park Audubon Center, with a light dinner offered at no charge, at dates listed just below. Columbia City landscape architects Johnson Southerland are managing the process. Please come to any of the meetings you can. Whether you can attend or not, please tell us your views by filling out the online survey:

Rainier Valley Rotary Club

Rainier Valley Rotary Club is a re-start of the old Rainier Rotary. We meet at Tutta Bellas on Tuesday mornings. Meetings are 7:30 to 8:30am, and come earlier if you want to network, or tell us about your projects.

First two meetings are free, $10 after that.

Theatre for a Change Fun/Fundraiser

Join us for a benefit for the Rainier Valley Youth Theatre, featuring food, fun and festivities at the Columbia City Gallery (4864 Rainier Ave S). The Rainier Valley Youth Theatre is a multicultural, community-based theatre that fosters the personal and artistic development of youth through teaching the total craft of theatre.

Tickets: Single $20, Couple $35, and Family $50
