All-Ages Luminary-Making Workshop — Sat, Dec 13
Make your own tin-can luminary to carry in the South Seattle Solstice Procession by attending our FREE workshop on Saturday, December 13th from 10-1pm at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center. Bring a large tin can and your ideas!

Save your large tin cans and bring them to the luminary-making workshop or drop them by SEED (5117 Rainier Ave S) anytime before December 12th.

Brew Your Own Biodiesel Workshop

Lakewood Seward Park Community Club (50th & Angeline)

A hands-on workshop to learn all the basics to make your own high quality fuel for about $1 per gallon. In this workshop you will do titrations, make small batches of biodiesel with different oils, and learn the tricks to make quality biodiesel every time. We will also operate a small-scale "Appleseed" reactor during class. The class will also cover topics, such as chemistry of the reaction, quality control, vehicle compatibility, cold weather issues, methanol recovery, disposal of wastes, and how to run a successful coop.
