The Forbidden Kingdom continues this week. It's the Number One film in the country, destined to become a kung fu classic.

Coming May 2, Leatherheads, a thoroughly enjoyable homage to screwball comedy starring George Clooney as the incarnation of Cary Grant and Rene Zellweger as the His Girl Friday figure.

Book reading and memories of Columbia City

by author Jack Osborne

Saturday, May 3rd, 10am - noon
Rainier Valley Cultural Center
3515 Alaska Street (1/2 block from Rainier Avenue)

Makers of Mischief: A Boomer’s Adventures in Childhood is a humorous and heartwarming look back at life in the old housing projects of Columbia City during the 1950s. I'll read excerpts from my book, which features stories about childhood adventures at Columbia Elementary School, Columbia movie theater, Sick's Stadium, and Seafair.

I'll also be participating in BeatWalk on Friday, May 2nd with a reading at Bookworm Exchange.

Join me as I tell stories that span the generations… and share how my childhood dreams have led me back home.
