Last Chance to Visit an Open House at Rainier Valley Coop Preschool
Tuesday, February 26th from 6pm - 8pm Rainier Valley Cooperative Preschool invites prospective parents to visit our final open house of the enrollment season. We are a Cooperative Preschool offering mixed-age classes for children ages 2 -5, with two teachers using a co-teaching model, right in the heart of Columbia City. As a cooperative preschool, our parents work in the classroom on a regular basis and manage the overall operations of the school. Tuition ranges from $110 to $400 a month, with scholarships available to qualifying families. Maximum class size is 16. Learn more about our school online. During our open house, our children are welcome to come explore the space and play, and parents are encouraged to ask questions, get to know our families, and arrange a tour during class times. Currently enrolled families and our teachers will be on hand to answer your questions about the school. Hope to see you there! |

Join the C-City Runners for a run this week
The C-City Runners are gaining steam. You might have seen the rather large pack of well-insulated runners cruising down sunny Rainier Avenue on one of our first Saturday runs. We had an amazing turnout and every runner, no matter what their level, was able to get a great workout. Join us for our weekly Tuesday night and Saturday morning runs! You can find out more at www.ccityrunners.com. We would love to see you there. |

DPD publishes decision for Eagle Rock Ventures
DPD recently published its Master Use Permit decision for a four-story mixed use project with 63 residences at 5201 Rainier Ave S. This follows up from the Design Recommendations report delivered earlier. Here's an April 2007 P-I article about it.
The design changed markedly in response to public input and direction from the Design Review Board. You too could influence new development in Columbia City.
