Summer Cycle Celebration and Coffee Jitters Alleycat!
Join Bike Works in celebrating cycling, summer, and our community! In conjunction with Seattle Parks & Recreation's Bicycle Sunday on August 29th, we'll be throwing a party complete with bicycle games and contests, music and entertainment, yummy food, and more. In addition, Empire Espresso is organizing the first ever Coffee Jitters Alleycat benefitting Bike Works, which will be ending at the Summer Cycle Celebration! Both events are happening on Sunday, August 29th. More information at bikeworks.org.
The event will bring all sorts of people together for a fun afternoon, and we'll have a little bit of something for everyone. There will be music and entertainment interspersed with cycling demos and exhibits, and we will also have some fun bicycle contests and rodeo games.
Festivities include the Adventure School's spin art bike, Totcycle's competitive family bike obstacle course, Coffee Jitters Alleycat finish-line party (see below for information on the race and how to sign-up), Bike Works T-shirt design contest (more information below on how to submit a design), bicycle-blended smoothies, and bike rodeo and carnival games! There will also be live music and free food! Sounds pretty fun, eh?
