Writers Read at the Columbia Library
Join us for a monthly reading series featuring an open mic and selected readings from local writers. This month's featured author is Georgia S. McDade.
Join us for a reading by local author and poet, Georgia S. McDade. She will read short stories from her upcoming book "Observations and Revelations," poems from her poetry anthology "Outside the Cave III," and will talk about her book "Travel Tips for Dream Trips."
McDade will also speak about her six-month solo trip around the world, and you'll get to peek at her travel journals.
The event will end with a Q&A session, followed by an open mic session.
McDade, a charter member of the African-American Writers' Alliance, began reading her stories and poems in public in 1991. Her works include "Travel Tips for Dream Trips," "Outside the Cave" and "Outside the Cave II".
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
This program is presented in partnership with African-American Writers' Alliance.
