Writers Read at the Columbia Library
Join us for a monthly reading series featuring an open mic and selected author readings from local writers. This month features the 2009 Seattle Reads author, Nancy Rawles.
Sunday, December 8, 2-4:30pm
Nancy will read from her new book, "Miz Sparks is on Fire and This Ain't No Drill," about a veteran public school teacher navigating the flood waters of educational reform.
Audience members who wish to take part in the reading are invited to play the role of a student, staff member, or PTA parent at the fictional Muhammad Ali Elementary School. Come join in the fun.
The event will end with a Q&A session, followed by an open mic session.
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
This program is presented in partnership with African-American Writers’ Alliance.
