Introduce your toddler to nature with story time, songs, and fun activities inside, followed by exploration along the trails of Seward Park! Walks are easy and less than one mile in length.

Birding Basics: 101
Come learn how to be a fabulous backyard birder. Start with short lessons in field identification, common species, and binocular and scope selection. Then walk through the park with our experienced birding teachers, learning how to spot and id birds. Recommended ages: 10 and up.

Family Bird Walk
Bring your family on a birding adventure in Seward Park for free! This program starts with a kid-friendly indoor presentation to learn the basics of birding by sound & sight, and ends with an outdoor bird scavenger hunt through the forest. Binoculars are available to borrow! Binoculars are available to borrow. This walk is especially designed for families with children ages 5 to 12.
