silent auction of artwork at Columbia City Gallery
The Columbia City Gallery is hosting the 6th Annual Silent Auction (by Secret Bid) of Artwork by Gallery Artists. This is a unique opportunity to collect work from your favorite local artist. You can view artwork in the auction in the gallery between January 16 and January 27. The artists will set minimum bids. We'll accept bids January 16 through 27, 2013. You may bid in person, on the phone or via email. We'll notify winners by February 1.
This year's auction includes 40 pieces of artwork, including paintings, prints, glass works and ceramics. One painting (shown) is a collaboration by two of our member artists, Jacqui Beck and Joan Robbins. Bidding for this piece starts at $900 — (but the minimum bid for other pieces is as low as $25). This is the best time of year to start, or add to, your collection on a budget!
The auction kickoff is on Saturday, January 19, 5 – 8pm (simultaneous with the Artists' Reception). This event is free and we encourage the public to attend. The gallery is located at 4864 Rainier Avenue South, in the center of historic Columbia City. The Columbia City Gallery is an artists' cooperative and a program of SEEDArts. The gallery receives support from 4Culture, the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 8p, Sundays, 10am to 6pm, closed Mondays & Tuesdays. For complete schedule, see ColumbiaCityGallery.com.
