Link to Lake Trail Walk
Tuesday December 18, 11:30am – 1pm. free Link to Lake Trail, SE Seattle
Friends of Link to Lake have developed a walking route from the Columbia City Light Rail Station to Lake Washington. Join us for a walk along the "Link to Lake" Trail. 3 miles round trip, flat, accessible. We'll be picking up trash along the way, to help keep the route attractive to walkers. Enjoy using the traffic crossing flags we installed in October! Meet at 11:30 a.m. at the east side of MLK Jr Way S at S Edmunds St. RSVP by Monday, 12/17 to Mari Becker, vog.elttaes|rekceb.iram#vog.elttaes|rekceb.iram.

Mari or others:
Is there a map of this route posted anywhere? I won't be able to attend a mid day walk, but we are new to CC and would love the inside scoop on your selected (flat!) route from the rail stop to the lake. Do the Friends of Link to Lake have a website? I found Sound Steps (cool idea!) but didn't see a map.
Thanks!
This is not possible. The CC light rail station is at a higher elevation than the lake by about 50 feet.
Hi all - thanks for the comments! The route is, yes, slightly downhill in the beginning (along Edmunds St and Alaska St). But I call it flat, in Seattle terms :)
A map is available on our website, downloadable here:

Unfortunately it takes quite awhile to download…you can also see it posted on kiosks in the north part of Genesee Park. I hope you can make it to the walk!
