Bike Works and Community Arts Create are pleased to partner in hosting their first ever Art Bike Contest at this year’s Rainier Valley Heritage Parade and Summer Streets Festival. The competition will take place Saturday, August 18th, at 2pm in front of Bike Works at 3709 S Ferdinand St, Seattle WA 98118. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate, and no rules apply. Paint an old bike! Decorate a new bike! Add stickers! Weld parts! Do anything in between! Then bring your "Art-Cycle" down to enter the contest and show it off to the crowd and a panel of judges made up of esteemed bike and art experts from Seattle. All participants will have a chance at winning great prizes, including the Grand Prize of a bike from Bike Works! The entry fee is a suggested donation of $5 and a nonperishable food item for the Rainier Valley Food Bank. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit work of Bike Works and Community Arts Create.
