Seattle Public Utilities is working to improve the health of Lake Washington by reducing combined sewer overflows (CSOs). During heavy rains, stormwater and sewage may overflow into the lake – causing a CSO. SPU has identified two locations for projects to reduce CSOs in your neighborhood. Construction is planned for 2012-2013 at these locations:

· The parking lot along Lake Washington Blvd. between 48th Ave. S. & 49th Ave. S. (property owned by Seattle Parks Department)
· The undeveloped open space at S. Alaska St. and 54th Ave. S. (property owned by Seattle Parks Department)

Please come to this meeting to hear more about the proposed projects. You can also send questions or comments to: Genesee Area CSO Reduction Project, 206-826-4767, vog.elttaeS|OSCG_UPS#vog.elttaeS|OSCG_UPS, www.seattle.gov/CSO/

We hope to see you at the meeting,
Kathy Robertson, PE
