Join us for a 2008 "Night Out" Block Party
For three hours the street will be shut down for kids to play and for neighbors to get together, eat some BBQ, and celebrate a summer evening.
When: Tuesday, August 5th from 6-9pm
Where: 33rd Ave. S., between Brandon & Dawson
Bring chairs or blankets, whatever you prefer to sit on.
We'll bring our grill, but it would be great if others could drag theirs out as well. Please bring something for the grill and a side dish, dessert, or drink to share.
Bring kids' bikes, scooters, skates, street games, chalk, face paint. Oh, and bring the kids, the siblings, the parents, and your friends. Any other ideas?
Contact John Hoole (206-255-6608, moc.liamg|eloohj#moc.liamg|eloohj) with questions or suggestions for the party. You can also post comments below.
Here's what we need — please sign up for empty slots.

- Setting up can start around 5:30 or so. It involves closing down the street and arranging tables, grills & trash cans. It might involve a friendly reminder to neighbors to move their cars around the corner.
- Cleaning up involves returning tables to their owners, reopening the street, and picking up any remains of the party.
Please bring your own plates, cups, plasticware or cutlery, lawn chairs and blankets.
These are ideas for activities:
- sidewalk chalks
- face paints
- what else?
