March 8, 2010 - April 7, 2010 Using Technology to Find a Job
New class offered at the Southeast Seattle Community Center, 4655 South Holly St., Seattle. Tel: 206-722-0317. Class meets twice a week, Mon. and Wed., from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for five weeks and is open to anyone in the community. You will learn how to write an effective resume and submit it online. You will be introduced to reliable online job boards, to important business and government employment sites, and to job networking groups. You will also learn how to protect your privacy and avoid scams when searching for a job online. Individual assistance will be available during class. Basic knowledge of email and MS Word required (these skills are taught in the Internet classes at the Senior Center). Register now by calling 206-722-0317. The class is limited to eight (8) students. $10.00 for members of the Senior Center, $15.00 for non-members
