A partnership aimed at building and strengthening the Rainier Valley by increasing the health of its residents through culturally relevant promotion of physical activity and nutrition.

The Healthy and Active Rainier Valley Coalition is a group of agencies and individuals that have come together in the Rainier Valley area of Seattle, Washington, to promote physical activity and nutrition. The Coalition meets on the third Wednesday every other month from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Rainier Community Center, 4600 38th Ave. S, 98118.

Everyone is welcome to attend meetings.

Our current projects include promoting community gardens, community kitchens at the Rainier Community Center and SE Senior Center, walking with Sound Steps, senior half marathon training with Sound Steps and promoting safe transportation options in the Rainier Corridor.
