So I read that Amazon.com has a home grocery delivery service, AmazonFresh. They serve Columbia City now. Orders over $25 get free delivery.
Has anyone tried AmazonFresh? What's the experience like? How's Safeway or the other on-line grocers compare? Note that I'm not asking about C.S.A.s.
This could be a better solution for some than the 10-mile round-trip to the E Madison ST. Trader Joe's.

I haven't. I don't have a car but I use spud delivery service (local and organic) and try to hit the Farmer's Market whenever I can. Jennifer

I saw the Amazon Fresh truck in our 'hood a few days ago and didn't know what it was about until I read your post, tqn69. Either they have current neighborhood customers now, or are using the truck as advertising to drum up interest.

We've used AmazonFresh a number of times in the couple of months since they began offering delivery to the 98118. It's great!
Previously we were happy customers of Pioneer Organics, but our satisfaction dropped off precipitously after the Spud.com take-over. Amazon offers everything that Spud offers and much, much more.
