In case anyone in the neighborhood is a car-bound Starbucks lover and hates dealing with the parking situation at Rainier and Edmunds, there's a new store in the (greater) neighborhood at MLK and Graham. It's located on the southeast corner of the intersection, across Graham street from the Viet Wah complex.
I drove by yesterday and it was open — I'm not certain how long that's been the case. I didn't stop, but it appears from the MLK side that it might be a drive-up ONLY store. Perhaps there's a door (or a walk-up window?) on the east side of the building. In any case, the building sits on a pretty small footprint.
I'm not sure how long this store will last, with the recent announcement of the closure of 600 (probably mostly newish) Starbucks outlets. If you want to check it off your list of all the Starbucks stores you've visited, I would suggest getting there soon. Of course, you can now also get your drive-up espresso fix at the Golden Arches, a franchise of which is located directly across MLK from this new store.
I hope I don't come off like a shill for mega-Corporate-America, but I figured someone might be interested in this new development.
