We are fostering this wonderful beagle but our house is very full so looking for a new home for him ASAP!
This guy needs a good home with people who understand his needs. He is a young guy about 20 pounds and under 2 years old that was found in Lewis County running loose at a trailhead and fostered there for a month. He moved to Orcas Island with a loosely fenced 5 acres but keeps getting out and running. He is a Beagle, he will run if he can and it is likely not a trait that is going to be trained out of him. He is great with kids, people, cats and other dogs. An ideal home would have a securely fenced yard and a family that understands he needs leash walks and time at a secured off-leash park if the yard doesn’t have other dogs to play with and is not a large space. If he gets bored he will chew which is why he will be moving with a kennel for night and a collapsible travel kennel. He really likes his kennel so until he grows up a bit it’s a great option for keeping everyone happy. He has lived with numerous cats (at least four that we know of) and has been fine. He shows interest in them but also has found that they can be sharp! He has not chased them or been retaliatory when cats let him know they’re done with his prying. He been around a lot of dogs and while can come off loud and bossy is really very submissive and has done well with the six dogs in our extended family. This guy is super sweet and very snuggly. Please feel free to call or email with any questions ten.tsacmoc|notuola#ten.tsacmoc|notuola or 206-953-2583. He is neutered, chipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
