The design team is presenting a final briefing on the project on Friday afternoon, Jan 4th. The landmarks committee meets at 4pm in the lower level of the Rainier Valley Cultural Center. Here's the agenda.
Here is a link to an article in the Seattle Times stating that the project will break ground mid-year 2013 and complete in 2015:

Unfortunately didn't make the meeting on Jan 4th. If anyone was there, it would be great to hear what was discussed.
Thanks for the link. Looks like Zion Prep is going to be completely redeveloped as well. Condos/apartments of some kind…sold last month.
I would love to get a look at some of the drawings or the actual proposal for the new Angeline project. The Preservation Board does not put anything online (even minutes). Rebecca, who heads the Board always has an open invite for anyone to come downtown and check them out…but who's got time for that?
The architect (Bumgardner) also does not have anything posted to their website (yet?).
Komo has the first public image of the project that I've been able to find:
Here's another rendering that I was able to track down.

Eric's post from KOMO is the same rendering that was presented at the recent public meeting (the cantilevered roofs on Edmunds facing the park are distinctive in this rendering).
