Walk with us from MLK through Columbia City to the Bike works kid bike swap at Genesee park. See one of Columbia City's coolest non-profit in action. Meet at MLK and Alaska at 10 AM. B. Mona Lee's Favorite South Seattle Walk
The second walk starts at 48th & Othello (meet there at 10 AM) and then goes north to Myrtle Street, left/west on Myrtle through the light rail station plaza, then through King Plaza to John C Little Park up through the park to Holly Park Drive. Take an immediate left up through the community garden to the Chief Sealth Trail. Go up the Chief Sealth Trail to the crest of the hill beside New Holly. Climb the first knoll to the right of the trail. Go up to the top of the knoll. There you will find a magnificent view of the Othello town Center, Lake Washington, the Cascade Mountains and the Olympic Mountains. This could include a tour of King Plaza with all it marvelous diversity: Tammy's Bakery, the Chilnese herb store, several Asian restaurants, etc. Mona Lee (of Old Woman on a Bike fame) will lead this walk.
