Cooking classes or a cooking group?

Does anyone know of a local cooking group or local cooking classes being offered? I'd love to meet some of my neighbors and enhance my culinary skills (i.e. - doing something better than heating up a Trader Joe's entree!) at the same time.
We live in such a diverse area think of the vast array of cooking and ingredients around here! If you know of such a group I'd love to be a part of it.
