Feel free to message me on here if you want (I think just click on my name). While we don't live really close to each other I'd lend a hand up where you are and maybe someone closer to you will see the post. So far I've found that gloves and a trash bag or two are all the tools I need. I might try a separate bags for recycling and trash next time as the bottles and cans take up most of the space and weight. I'm starting to see repetitive trash like little individual cigarette/cigar wrappers and certain brands of beer.

Having a camera with you is also handy to document little issues that some city department should address for safety or aesthetics (plugged storm drains, major potholes, etc - the seattle.gov page now allows for uploading of photos along with a concern.)

We just did a street cleanup prior to Memorial Day and we will definitely have more throughout the summer. Please sign up for the group and you'll get emails about upcoming events! If you are more interested in cleaning up on your own schedule, you can still contact Karma from the email list for cleaning materials (grabbers and bags).

Ya. The 'treasure hunt' yielded 8 big bags of trash. The city provided the tools and they pick up the trash at the end of day.

I am sure we will do this again soon. More treasures have surfaced everywhere.
