I had an evening open, this series sounded more interesting than what was going on at home, so I went. I was the ONLY person to show up. Was the speaker, Phillip Tavel, dismayed? No! He and Jerri (who was taking tickets) and I went out and discussed the topic over drinks. Fun! And they didn't even charge me the $10. I'm sure RVCC can't guarantee such a fantastic, intimate experience whenever you come for a lecture, but you can always hope! (And I hope enough people can come to the rest of the series so that continuing to host this kind of thing will continue to make sense for RVCC).
