Come see the photos of the party at Flickr. A few of them are also in the wiki's gallery.
Kallaloo Caribbean Creole Cuisine celebrated their 2nd birthday in Columbia City on March 22, 2008. http://www.kallalooseattle.com/
Proprietors Kal Gellein and Gail Williams invited the neighborhood to help them celebrate their birthday with food and drink specials, and really fabulous music provided by Larry Barilleau and Eduardo Medonca & Show Brazil! http://showbrazil.com/
The creative food and yummy drinks were not surprising: we have come to expect that from Kallaloo. What was totally out of the ordinary was Larry and Eduardo leading the restaurant guests on an impromptu rhythmic parade out the side door armed with song and percussion instruments. We played and sang past Verve, headed down to Rainier Avenue, were greeted by Flo of CC Fitness Center, waved to the folks at Geraldine's & Lottie's, and back up the street to Kallaloo's front door: all this to the surprise and delight of lots of Columbia citizens out on a Saturday night.
Sadly, I inadvertently had the camera on an inappropriate setting and so none of these photos are very good, photographically speaking. However, it is pretty obvious how much fun everyone had!
