These magazine crews have been associated with crime waves and we all know about the magazine crew member who raped a Seattle woman last year. The Seattle police suggest when one of these crew members comes to your door that you DO let them know you are home, but DO NOT let them in. They maybe casing the neighborhood to find out which homes are unoccupied during the day.
The man guy I saw today (maybe in his mid to late 20's?) at 2:20 pm, had no badge, said he was with a company called "Strictly Business". This was in the Genesee/50th Ave. S. area. I told him that we had an active crime watch on our block and he got hostile with me and promptly accused me of being a racist because I assumed he was a magazine salesman. I told him that I couldn't help but notice his clipboard as I drove past him earlier. I also told him that I thought by Seattle city code that they must wear a badge and he said he didn't know but they had all the permits to work here.
Under the website: Traveling Sales Crews website I found this company to be associated with a bigger outfit called Atlantic Circulations, Inc.. Their crews were associated with a murder of one of their members a young woman named Tracy Onawa Jones in Memphis, Tennessee on November 26, 2006.
Just be on the look out and make sure they know we all look out after each other in this part of town!
