WHEN: October 1; 10am-12pm
WHERE: Cheasty Greenspace/Mt. View; meet at 2809 S. Alaska Place 98108
WHAT: Trail building projects may include filling a gabion wall with stones, creating a turnpike, surfacing a trail and clearing up trail corridors.
WHO:We are a group of neighbors and community members dedicated to the restoration of a 10 acre parcel of forest within Seattle's Cheasty Greenspace. We do this because we believe having safe natural spaces are essential for healthy urban living for our kids and our community!
Come join us for our monthly work parties (first Saturday of every month); we are removing invasive species, planting native plants, and developing a trail system to increase positive connectivity in our neighborhood.
Our efforts are supported by Seattle Parks and the Green Seattle Partnership.
We are about creating community, connectivity and restoring habitat for the creatures by making our neighborhood forest safe and accessible.
