By now many of you may know that the Torah Day School has moved into Columbia School on S. Ferdinand. There’s a “wing” of 3 classrooms that the school doesn’t need, and is renting to some of us in order to create what we’re calling the Cultural Corner. We’d like to create a community arts gathering space, and will be working to put a schedule of events together in the coming months.
We’ll be having an open house during the last Farmers Market of the season, and would like to invite you to come on by and have a look.
Cultural Corner Open House
Wednesday, October 20, 2010
Enter on S. Edmunds just west of 37th Ave. S, the NE corner of the school
In the Cultural Corner:
Mollly Scott, visual artist and choreographer
Paul Nelson, poet and director of SPLAB (Seattle Poetry LAB)
Joanne Kelly, owner of Muse Indigo
There’s a 3rd classroom available, and we’ll have that open for people to take a look.
We also have a wish list of items we need. SPLAB is a non-profit so any donations would be tax-deductible. If you have any of the following items, please contact us at (206) 963-8599.
- folding chairs
- 2-3 couches
- coffee table, end tables
- small refrigerator
- electric tea kettle
- A-frame sign for sidewalk
Hope to see you on the 20th!
