Bob's Quality Meats on Rainier Ave. S. carries only organic-fed pork. You can buy large quantities and package deals. Give them a a call at 206-725-1221.

How many people do you need to go in on this with you? Also, how much research have you done to determine if there is a better price (for the same quality) available? And finally, is anyone sharing freezer space, so that it's easier for someone without a spare freezer to go on this with you?

I am interested in purchasing other meats in bulk, as well — venison, elk, buffalo, fish, turkey, etc. I do not eat beef. Buying in bulk is generally far less expensive.

We have found the best fish locally is from Mutual Fish. Wild Salmon Fish Market is also good. We would be interested in joining others on whole fish purchases (filleted or steak cuts) of sablefish (black cod), shark (black tip, thresher, etc.), yellowtail tuna, halibut, etc. Fish keeps well if you put it in sealable freezer bags filled with water, and let the water freeze around the fish — this 100% prevents freezer burn and it keeps for a long time.

Some local suppliers of high-quality meats. I can vouch for Skagit River Ranch, which is represented at the Columbi City Farmers Market. They have quality organic pork and chicken, though I have some reservations about their beef. My motivation is to share information amongst like-minded individuals. I have been buying meat in bulk from local suppliers for several years.
