Our neighborhood lacks pedestrian infrastructure. This detracts from livability and makes the streets less safe; it also puts kids at risk. What do we need changed, and where?

One thing I think we need is more stoplight pedestrian crossings on Rainier.

In particular, I think we could really, really use crosswalks with lights (and maybe some form of curb-bulbing — if that's a word — or other sidewalk changes) at:

39th and Rainier
S. Angeline and Rainier
Oregon and Rainier

One of your 3 suggestions has long been a CCBA priority, a pedestrian crossing of Rainier at 39th. The situation calls for a raised/textured and signalized crossing that would both safeguard pedestrians and signal to northbound drivers that they are approaching a congested area. The project should be done in conjunction with a new bus stop planned for that corner. Oregon and Rainier got a crossing but it's not yet open.
