Habitat for Humanity is hosting King County’s first annual Build-a-Thon! Much like a Walk-a-Thon, the Habitat Build-a-Thon asks volunteers to engage friends and family in making affordable housing a priority by sponsoring their volunteer hours for Habitat. Why walk when you can build?
Who: YOU! In just a few minutes (registering is easy) you have the power to CHANGE LIVES!
What: Participants sign up for one half-day volunteer shift with Habitat and ask friends and family to sponsor their hours by donating to Habitat through a personal fundraising webpage.
Where: All Habitat construction sites and offices throughout King County (inlcluding Rainier Vista).
When: September 19th – October 3rd 2009 (sites are open Tuesday – Saturday in half-day shifts) 8:30 am – 4:00 pm ●OR● contact your affiliate to schedule an alternative shift.
Why: We have an affordable housing crisis in King County and this must change! Lead the way. Join the Build-a-Thon!

• Volunteer during the Build-a-Thon at one of six construction sites, in the office, at the Home Improvement Outlet or as event support!
• Lead a team! Challenge your friends to participate in the Build-a-Thon and set a team fundraising goal!
• Enjoy a personal fundraising page that you can update with your own pictures, stories and sponsorship progress!
