About the instructor: Shary Flenniken is an award-winning cartoonist, editor, author and screenwriter. Her career has taken her from classic underground newspapers and comics in Seattle and San Francisco to major magazines and film studios in New York and Hollywood. She is best known for her work in National Lampoon Magazine. Her graphic stories and comic strips have appeared in Details, Premiere, Seattle Metropolitan, and Mad magazines. Her cartoons can be seen in When a Man Loves A Walnut, More Misheard Lyrics by Gavin Edwards, Nice Guys Sleep Alone by Bruce Feirstein, and Seattle Laughs, edited by Shary. She is currently working on a book of fairy tales and a series of adventure novels.
