My wife and I stumbled upon a car break-in about an hour ago (4:15ish on Sunday) on Edmunds (right next to Columbia Plaza). We rounded the corner, saw an alarm going off, and then saw a teenager bolt out of the car carrying something (camera? iPod? purse?). At first we thought he just couldn't get his car alarm to turn off and was going to get help…but we found it odd that he left the door open. We backpedaled a bit, saw him join up with about 7-10 other teens, and they headed up to Ranier (through one of the alleys behind the bakery/Sorento's. When we got to the car, we saw that the window was broken. I called 911, reported it, and they said someone would be out to check on things…given the weather (and the police in general), I have no idea if this happened. The car is white and by the looks of things, it's been there for a while…quite the snow pile-up. If you know whose it is, let 'em know…definitely a bummer.
