Why: MUSICA Entertainment and Columbia City Theater are proud to present an event that provides our communities with the opportunity to spend time with their children in a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment. MUSICA Entertainment, LLC is committed to the outcomes of increased awareness of the importance of early learning, parental involvement, school readiness and the acknowledgement and use of community services available in support of those initiatives.
MUSICA Entertainment in cooperation with the Pulse Project and Columbia City Theatre will be producing an innovative student made documentary and educational DVD. This project gives students (14-19) the opportunity to learn more about early education while nurturing creative skills in the field of video production. In addition, we'll be filming the student and making the completed DVD of BOTH stories available to child care organizations, schools, libraries, the public and early learning stakeholders. Students of the Pulse Project will be interviewing vendors, parents, performers, kids and guest speakers on the day of the Kids Fair. Prior to the event, these student filmmakers will interview child development and education experts, researchers and administrators. These interviews will be broadcast during the "Live" webcast of the Holiday Kids Fair and incorporated into the final DVD project. Participating vendors in Columbia City will also have pamphlets on school readiness, early education and parenting. The Holiday Kids Fair will be webcast “live” locally, nationally and internationally.
