One solution:

Have ADT (the best deal, locally) install glass break sensors in areas around your home. Make sure to test them to make sure they work properly.

Go to Lowes and buy (white, gray or black is available) 1-inch diameter PVC pipe, cut it to the right length, and then put it in all your window frames, on all floors of your home. This prevents anyone from forcing your windows open with leverage. Robbers will be required to break your windows and set off your alarm system if they want to get in.

Your front door lock can likely be "bumped," but even if it is, the alarm system will still trigger if the door is opened.
