Hello,

Is anyone out there missing the weekly local produce from the farmer's market? Trekking over to West Seattle or the U-District is just not the same.

How about a winter Community Support Agriculture (CSA) program with Willie Green's Organic Farm? A CSA provides weekly farm boxes at different pick-up locations depending on the farm.

In order to bring the CSA to Columbia City we need 7-10 Columbia City/Hillman City neighbors and one pickup location (a local business, neighbor's house with someone around on Fridays at 1PM or who has a porch or other dry place where the produce boxes can be dropped off).

The CSA goes through January and there are small (singles or families on the go), medium (couple or small families), and large (family of four or two vegetable lovers) boxes to choose from. The boxes contain mostly vegetables and occasionally fruit. The more sessions you sign up for the cheaper they are. I don't have the exact prices with me but could get them to you if you are interested.
