I have 6 tickets available for the Trampled by Turtles show at Neptune Sept 8.
Conflicting schedules so can't make it.

Columbia City Church of Hope is one of several churches in the city that hosts women and children from Mary's Place day shelter overnight for a week at a time. They are looking for car seats for toddlers and children to use in the vans that transport the families to and from the churches.

Do you have seats your kids have outgrown? You can drop them off at the church (3818 S Angeline) and we can get them to Mary's Place. Call 722-5651 to schedule. (Of if you'd like to volunteer next time we host!)

I've been baking bread fairly regularly for several years, and I'm ready to try a new recipe. I'm looking for a good sourdough starter as I haven't had great luck in trying to make my own.

Anyone have one to share? I can pay you back with homeground wheat, fresh bread and homemade jam.

Last year's request worked so well I thought I wouldn't need to ask this year. But there's a bumper crop of neighborhood apples out there, and I'm running low on jars again.

If you've got empty canning jars that you're not planning to use, then I'd love to fill a few with fresh applesauce and make off with the rest. Thanks!
