I used Google maps to try and find a quilt shop nearby since I could not recall the name "Stash Quilt Shop." Google returned zero results nearby. I then checked at http://columbiacitizens.net/ and voila: here is my answer.

Note that the 2 hour limit only applies from 7am to 6pm since the restriction is intended to avoid using streets near the station as a park and ride. I think you can even park at 4:30pm, have an early dinner, see a movie and then drive away.

It can't. It is designed so street parking for neighborhood residents is not taken up by people going to the movies and riding light rail. This is is how it works in just about every "destination" neighborhood in the city.

There are multiple pay lots in the neighborhood and plenty of public transportation options to get to Columbia City.

Hi all - thanks for the comments! The route is, yes, slightly downhill in the beginning (along Edmunds St and Alaska St). But I call it flat, in Seattle terms :)

This is not possible. The CC light rail station is at a higher elevation than the lake by about 50 feet.

I won't be able to attend a mid day walk, but we are new to CC and would love the inside scoop on your selected (flat!) route from the rail stop to the lake. Do the Friends of Link to Lake have a website? I found Sound Steps (cool idea!) but didn't see a map.

If you want your child to learn music while having fun, this is the place for you! My daughter's team lesson was only $18!!! She and her friend had the time of their life learning piano. DEFINITELY worth checking them out…now with online registration?…FANTASTIC!
