Lakewood Seward Park Community Club
It's the dog days of summer and we hope everyone is doing well and keeping dry. We wanted to give you a quick update on our activities.
Sept 14, 2010 — Community Meeting at the Clubhouse at 7pm. Seattle Public Utilities will let us know about Genesee Basin project that may affect our community.
Oct 2, 2010 – Oktoberfest. Mark your calendar for fun, beer, brats and did I mention fun?
We have just launched our new website and hope that you find it a helpful resource. We've included some interesting historical information about our 100 year old association as well as an overview of upcoming events and detailed information about clubhouse rental including an online calendar. You can even become a member online now via Pay Pal. Please take a moment to check it out: www.lspcc.org.

Seattle Public Utilities will let us know about Genesee Basin project that may affect our community and this is your opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions. In addition, we have invited our community member, Socially Responsible Investing, to help educate us as part of our effort to offer educational resources to our community.
We are very interested in bringing a series of educational "classes" to the community clubhouse in the fall and would love to hear your idea about what you'd like to learn about and how we can make the clubhouse a center point for sharing knowledge. Please drop us a line and let us know what you are interested in and what you’re an expert about — we're really excited about some of the plans.

Finally, is anyone out there interested in reviving the traditional "Garden Club" who, in decades past, turned the clubhouse ground into a landmark of beauty in the neighborhood? If you have a green thumb and would like a new playground please let us know.
